Ruku — Bowing
Rukuالرُّكُوع
Bowing with the hands placed on the knees (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 790) and staying until at ease (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 757) — the posture of humility before the Lord of all creation.
سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ
Subhana Rabbiyal 'Azim.
Glory be to my Lord, the Most Great.
Hadith
The Prophet ﷺ told a man who had prayed hastily: 'Go back and pray, for you have not prayed.' He taught him to bow until he was at ease in his bowing.
